About The Acupuncturist
Christina Wilson started her journey in the healing arts and sciences in 1998. She received a one year diploma from Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies in Western Herbology and Nutrition. She went on to study Uterine Massage in Belize with Rosital Arvigo. Christina then earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The four year curriculum at this school consists of over 2800 hours of training in acupuncture, herbal therapy, practical clinical experience, and adjunct therapies which include: Tuina, (Chinese remedial massage and adjustment), Eastern Nutrition, Moxibustion, Cupping, E-stem, Auriculotherapy, (ear acupuncture).
Christina was certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, (NCCAOM). This included Colorado Licensure and Certification by the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Commission, (AAOM), for clean needle technique. Her clinics comply with the rules and regulations promulgated by the Colorado Department of Health.
For Christina, education is a way of life. She has taken many hours of continuing education including studying Buddhist Psychology, culture, and philosophy. She has been actively studying Buddhism for more than five years, and is currently in a Teacher Training Program to teach virtuous meditation within the New Kadampa Tradition. She enjoys educating and empowering patients with not only a higher standard of health, but also peace of mind and the knowledge of how to maintain it through much more than a temporary state of relief. She gives lifestyle counseling, complete with referrals for unique types of physical fitness, and nutritional recommendations for the highest levels of health!
